Privacy Policy.
Interim policy. This policy is in force as written and describes our actual practice. It is under review by counsel and may be revised. Items marked for confirmation are being finalized.
This policy explains what information Power View, LLC (“Power View,” “we,” “us”) collects through powerviewglobal.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to this website and to inquiries submitted through it. It does not govern information exchanged under an executed non-disclosure agreement or a definitive purchase agreement, which are governed by those documents.
1. Who we are
Power View, LLC is a [CONFIRM — state of formation] limited liability company that acquires, refurbishes, and redeploys power generation equipment as a principal. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, we act as the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you submit. When you use an inquiry form on this site, we collect:
- Your name, company, and email address
- The nature of your inquiry — whether you are offering equipment or seeking capacity
- Equipment or requirement detail you choose to provide, which may include class and model, operating frequency, hours and starts, location, capacity required, and target dates
- Anything else you write in the free-text message field
Form fields other than name, company, email, and message are optional. Please do not submit information through this site that you consider confidential or commercially sensitive before an NDA is in place — see section 5.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server log data when a browser requests a page, including IP address, request time, the page requested, referring page, and browser and device type. We use this only to operate and secure the site.
3. No cookies, no tracking, no advertising
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking of any kind. There are no third-party scripts, embedded widgets, pixels, or social media trackers on any page, and typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a font provider. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
4. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and correspond with you about it
- To evaluate equipment you are offering, or capacity requirements you have described
- To negotiate, document, and perform a transaction if one proceeds
- To conduct counterparty, sanctions, and export-control screening before we commit to a transaction
- To operate, secure, and improve this site
- To comply with law and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of, or steps preparatory to, a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating our business, responding to inquiries, and securing this site; and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use information submitted through this site for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
We do not send marketing email to addresses submitted through this site unless you ask us to.
5. Confidentiality of equipment and transaction information
Information you send us about a specific package or requirement is treated as confidential business information, not merely as personal data. Consistent with the commitment stated elsewhere on this site: we do not shop your equipment, disclose that you are a seller, or use what we learn about a package to approach the parties behind it.
Package information reaches our own engineers, shops, hauliers, insurers, and advisors only as needed to evaluate or execute a transaction, and only under confidentiality obligations. If you would prefer a mutual non-disclosure agreement in place before sending anything further, tell us and we will put one in front of you. If a transaction does not proceed, records you have provided are returned or destroyed on request.
6. Service providers and disclosure
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We use a small number of service providers to operate this site and our correspondence, each of which processes information on our instructions:
- Netlify — website hosting and server logs
- Formspree — delivery of inquiry form submissions to our mailbox
- Google Workspace — email and document storage
We may also disclose information to professional advisors, to counterparties and their advisors where you have authorized it or where it is necessary to a transaction you are party to, in connection with a merger or sale of our business, and where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
7. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers store information in the United States. We transact across borders, and information you send us may be accessed from, or transferred to, countries other than your own, including countries that have not been found to provide an equivalent level of data protection. Where the GDPR applies, such transfers are made on the basis of appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable.[CONFIRM — counsel to confirm transfer mechanism]
8. Retention
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as needed to evaluate and pursue the opportunity, and thereafter for as long as we have a legitimate business or legal reason to keep it — including records associated with a completed transaction, which we retain for the period required by applicable law, tax rules, and export-control and sanctions recordkeeping requirements. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and operational purposes. You may ask us to delete information you have sent, and we will do so except where we are required or permitted to retain it.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are encrypted in transit. We limit access to inquiry correspondence to personnel and advisors who need it, and we require confidentiality obligations of the contractors who see package information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not send information through this site that you are not prepared to have transmitted by ordinary email.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; to have it corrected or deleted; to receive a portable copy; to object to or restrict certain processing; and, where processing rests on consent, to withdraw that consent.
California residents. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly collect the sensitive personal information categories defined by that statute through this site. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from retaliation for exercising those rights.
EU and UK residents. In addition to the rights above, you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.[CONFIRM — whether an EU/UK representative is required]
To exercise any of these rights, write to inquiries@powerviewglobal.com. We will verify your request and respond within the period required by applicable law. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
11. Children
This site is directed to businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date below reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page; your continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your information, go to inquiries@powerviewglobal.com, or by mail to Power View, LLC, [CONFIRM — notice address].
